"Leaving on a jet plane"

Today is June 29th, and dad is currently flying high over the Atlantic ocean. Four days after his initial date of departure, the trip has begun. Most of you of course know that dad has been gone for about a week and a half now, but he was spening that time at fort Benning in Georgia. His days were at first filled with activity on the base, but the activity had died down and it became quite boring and he was in fact pretty happy to be heading out. The flight from Atlanta to Germany is supposed to take about twelve hours and then he has another flight to Kuwait from there and one more flight after that to the Baghdad International Airport. That is about all there is to report at this point, but I will hopefully be getting a picture page up soon where I will post pictures from his first trip over there until I get pics from this trip. I hope that you enjoy this blog, and I hope it will provide a good source of what my dad is up to over in the hotter region of the world.
